ALLEN SHADOW’s poetry has been published widely in the small press, including two chapbooks. Billy Collins has called his work “Engaging,” while Library Journal has cited it for “startling imagery.” He has been a finalist in one of Poetry International’s Tiny Chapbook competitions, a finalist for the 2022 Omnidawn Poetry Broadside Prize, and a quarterfinalist for The Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry. His poems have been both short- and long-listed for the 2023 Fish Publishing Poetry Prize, judged by Billy Collins. Recently, his poems have appeared or are forthcoming in “Poetry International,” the “I-70 Review,” the “Broadkill Review,” and the “White Wall Review.” His writing has also appeared in The New York Times, a piece that was part of the series “Best of The New York Times 2015.”
